Book on Boxing Wonderboy out now

Nipper Pat was one of Britain's most talented and popular pro boxers of the pre-war era, and is arguably our most gifted young boxer ever. He made his pro debut aged nine, was topping bills in top-line 15-round fights at 14, was ranked in the world's top-10 by America's The Ring magazine aged 16, yet sadly was 'burnt out' by age 17....more...

Tom Sayers plaque unveiled

Our friends at SEBA (the Sussex Ex-Boxers' Association) have unveiled a plaque to honour nineteenth-century world heavyweight champion Tom Sayers. The event took place on 17 April before a crowd that included several generations of Sayers's descendants. The plaque – sculpted by Carl Payne and designed by SEBA president Tommy Mellis – is a fitting tribute to one of boxing's pioneers, and marks the 150th anniversary of his world-title battle with the American John C.
