The Late Irving Hiller
LEBA’s welfare officer, Sam Soraf and LEBA member David Power, have telephoned with the sad news that our very good friend and member Irving Hiller passed away quietly this morning, 3rd Feb.
Irving had been bravely fighting cancer for the past few years and recently transferred to a hospice.
He will be sadly missed as a regular attendee at LEBA meetings, where he had many friends, and will forever be considered as ‘One of our own’.
Irving’s passing will also be greatly felt in the entertainment world, as he spent a life time in show business; he was a renowned singer and entertainer.
He entertained at all the top venues, performing with many ‘Top of the Bill’ acts and stars.
Sincere and heart felt condolences from all at LEBA go to Irving’s family, and close friends at this sad time. May they take comfort that Irving is now at peace.
They, as we are too, left with such wonderful memories, of a great little guy, with a massively unforgettable personality.
‘The song may be over, but, the melody lingers on’. RIP Irving.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 5th February, 12pm, at Rainham Cemetery, Essex. (Just off the A13)
