Posted by Paul Fairweather on 1st Nov 2010
It has been reported to me by LEBA member John Griffiths, that Cliff Field a former pro heavyweight, passed away on Sunday aged 67.Cliff boxed our own Billy Aird twice also Richard Dunn, but he was better known on the unlicensed circuit beating Lenny McLean twice.
Cliff had battled with alcholism for many years and was living in sheltered accommodation, being cared for, as he was very poorly. His book had only just gone to print last week and he was looking forward to seeing to seeing it in print.
Our condolences go out to Cliff's family at this sad time.

Thanks go to John Griffiths for this report.
